"I believe that my confidence and how I hold myself against adversity makes me powerful. One of my favourite quotes is by Ayn Rand: “the question isn’t who’s gonna let me; it’s who’s gonna stop me.” We women are unstoppable, determined and persistent."
WHAT ARE SOME PERSONAL EVENTS THAT HAVE IMPACTED HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT BEING A WOMAN?
"I embarked on a project to interview women within the local Ghanaian community. It was an eye-opening experience for me as a young woman. Meeting strong, empowered women inspired me to be as strong and even stronger. It allowed me to really understand my purpose, my goals and where I want to be, what I want to achieve. It was so empowering. My experience showed me that, indeed, women can achieve anything if we put our minds to it-we not limited by our gender, stereotypes or societal norms."
DO YOU HAVE A ROLE MODEL, SOMEONE YOU LOOK UP TO?
"My mother- she is hardworking, determined and caring. Her outlook on life allows me to reflect every day on my actions. Her positive mindset motivates me to push myself and to carry a spirit of optimism. When I see my mother, I am constantly reminded of the power of love, confidence and determination."
